From March 2nd to 5th, 2026, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) and 4YFN were held once again in Barcelona, and the X4HPC network was present thanks to the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC).
On Monday, March 2nd, the BSC booth at 4YFN hosted the session ‘R&D&I Networks: X4HPC and CLARIAH-CAT’, a joint session of the transfer networks led by the BSC, where the latest developments for the 2026-2028 period were presented. The talk was given by Júlia Masvidal, Innovation Manager of X4HPC, and she was joined by Maite Melero, principal investigator of CLARIAH-CAT.
Another session that took place on Tuesday the 3rd, also at the BSC stand, was Investor’s Day, in which three spin-offs belonging to the X4HPC network presented their projects with the aim of securing funding. OneCareAI, ELEM, and Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech presented their technology and investment opportunities to the audience.
Furthermore, during this edition of MWC, there was also an opportunity to meet with the other R&D&I Transfer Networks, in a session organized by AGAUR and the Generalitat of Catalonia at the Mobile World Capital Barcelona stand. The Director General of Transfer and Knowledge Society, Javier Selva, participated in this meeting, and attendees enjoyed some networking time with the other networks.
Finally, it should be noted that at the same BSC stand at 4YFN, there was an interactive infographic with information on the BSC transfer networks, including the X4HPC network.
This year’s participation was therefore a success, and we hope to repeat the experience next year.
