On April 18th, the X4HPC held its 2nd Valorisation Committee, via Online, with all the representatives of the Technology Transfer Offices of the 8 entities of the Network.
In this meeting, topics of interest for the Network were discussed:
- Calendar of activities 2024, done and foreseen
- Final review of the projects financed from the previous calls
- Review of the applications of the IP Studies Call 2024 and the Valorisation and Spinoff Creation Support Call 2024 (open until May 15th 2024)
- Review of the participation rules and budget allocation to projects
- Next General Assembly (foreseen for October 22nd 2024)
After the last New Members Call opened, the Network has increased from 35 up to 39 groups.
After the applications received for expert assessment in the IP Studies Call 2024 and the Valorisation and Spin off Support Call 2024, the budget allocation analysed and proposed by the X4HPC team has been approved by all the members of the Committee.
A systematic process for the allocation of the budget to the different technologies has been agreed, establishing a maximum per project and a periodic checkpoint/review with the advisors with the aim of scoring and ranking projects, in order to decide a quick go/no-go for subsequent phases.
During the meeting all the members agreed also in the collaborative efforts of all tech transfer offices for the identification of the technology portfolio of the X4HPC. With the idea of leveraging the X4HPC presence at Fairs and congresses, as an enabler and facilitator of access to companies, matchmaking platforms, business challenges and open innovation initiatives.
It was a very profitable session with a lot of participation and interesting contributions from the attendees.
The next gathering of the X4HPC will be the Annual General Assembly that will take place on October 22nd and will gather all the members of the Network.
